Blogging Expert?

So you think you're a blogging expert eh?... well take a look at this list of blogging essentials to see if you are a true blogging expert.

1. Headlines must be short and sweet; to the point, not misleading!
2. Blogs must show dedication, no "one hit wonders", make sure you update your blog regularly
3. Graphics are essential; they define you as a blogger, for example your banner.
4. Don't "show and tell"; photos alone or writing alone doesn't make a good blog. You must be able to talk about them both and they should be able to explain each other and feed off each other.
5. Capture the readers attention! You must get the reader interested in the first 3 lines in order to make them continue reading.
6. Editing is key! A good blog does not get created over night. You must revisit your blogs to make them stronger and more effective. Add ideas and thoughts and corrections when needed.
7. Don't waste space with useless words: Only talk about whats necessary and the main points, don't ramble about other things which are off topic.
8. Explain Slang. Sometimes people do not realise that not everyone is up to date with "today's slang". Stop and explain some words that may need explaining once in a while and don't write an essay on the word, just a brief description.
9. Revisit old posts. After not thinking about a topic for a while, and then revisiting it, you may have different points of view and will have new things to say!
10. Most importantly, NEVER plagiarize!

Basically, what it all comes down tois, be right to the point. Nice quick titles, pictures and effective leads will all help you to have a successful blog. It is all about attraction, even out the writing with pictures, as most people would rather have visual images a long with writing, rather than an 4 page essay.
Also, don't always assume that your audience knows exactly what your talking about, as you may need to explain your self sometimes. It is not about writing a lot, it is about being precise and to the point! Try not to speak for the sake of speaking, you must have a clear point.
