When someone buys a magazine, who benefits from that? Who receives money from magazines?
The most obvious people who get a part of the profit are the publisher, the models, the celebrities, the writers, the advertisers, and the store in which you bought the magazine from. Although, besides them there are many more people who benefit from magazine sales! The designers of the clothes modeled in the magazine benefits, as well as the stylists who worked on the models.
Besides all the commonly known people who benefit, there are also people such as the camera companies as photographers have to get their cameras somewhere! Computer companies also benefit, along with paper companies, and since you need paper you need lumber, therefore lumber companies benefit!
Magazines use to make a lot more money then they do now. This is because of all the new technology! The internet is taking over because people can just search a topic, instead of buying a magazine for a few articles. Although, magazines are definitely still making money as they are only created for profit, and if magazines are still being produced, then they must still be making some profit! Personally, I would much rather buy a magazine than search around on the internet, but that’s just me.

I must say, I do agree. Seeing as to how there are many people in the magazine industry, the camera crew, and many more things that take part in the makings of the magazine, I bet there are plenty of people who get a cut out of the profit. Though, I don't think it goes as far that the lumber company makes a profit. From the two dollars each magazine is sold, aren't there already enough people getting a cut? The lumber company could, but what are the chances? What I mean by this is, since we now have the internet available to us, who buys magazines anymore? Sure they're cheap enough but still, I believe many more people would prefer the internet since it's more efficient, easier to use, and you could find the thing you're looking for faster, instead of flipping through a magazine, and paying two dollars for it. If anyone wanted to make a profit out of it, I'd recommend selling magazines on the internet, saving customers the trouble of getting to the store.
